Youth Flag Football

Welcome to the Hopkins Football League!

Lombardi Division (K/1) -- Shula Division (2/3) -- Madden Division (4/5)

Flag registration fee includes use of flags and equipment and field rental over the course of the year. A reversible flag football jersey is required for playing and players may reuse jersey from previous years or purchase a new one in the registration.  

Teams are created one week before the start date. Confirmation emails will be sent once your child is rostered. We do our best to honor buddy requests first, then elementary, then as needed for even numbers. 

Registration will be kept open until the season starts so kids not signed up will be assigned to teams as needed.

Practices

Saturdays

10:30AM - 12:00PM

Sessions will focus on skills development and learning the game. Format will be approximately ½ practice and ½ scrimmage.

Season runs from Saturday after Labor Day until weekend before MEA Break.

Wednesdays

6:30PM - 8:00PM

Practice times and location will shift during the season due to daylight and lighted field availability. Be sure to check location in the Crossbar calendar to determine location. Initially, practices will be on North Middle School Practice Field. 

Tuesdays & Thursdays

6:30PM - 8:00PM

Scrimmages & Games

Saturdays

10:30AM - 12:00PM

Major game conflicts can be communicated to your athlete's head coach and they can coordinate with the Division manager.

All players should have mouthguards and athletic attire for all practices and games. Cleats recommended.

Volunteer Requirements

Parents/caregivers are required to fulfill a volunteer shift during the season. More information will be forthcoming on volunteer options and requirements. Volunteer roles are presented on the Guardian Information page of the sign up.
