Royals Strength & Conditioning

The Royals Strength & Conditioning Program is run in partnership with Hopkins Community Education's Fit Futures Program and Hopkins Football Boosters.

A robust Strength & Conditioning program is key to Hopkins Football Players' development and participation is expected for all Football athletes. Provisions have been made for athletes participating in other sports and discussions should be had with Coaching Staff prior to season starting.

Sessions include strength and conditioning training generally in 8-12 week sessions. Sessions typically go as follows

  • Winter A - Late-November through January
  • Winter B - February and March
  • Spring - April and May
  • Summer - June, July, & August
  • In-Season - September, October, & Early-November


Please note - Registration is required for EACH session.


Grade Levels

The program is available for any football athlete grades 8 through 11 (rising freshman through seniors).

Graduating Seniors are welcome to workout with team with certified trainer in preparation for collegiate football.

Where

Strength Training will occur in the RAC weight room while speed training to occur on the RAC Track.

Study Tables will occur in RAC classroom.

Winter A Session (mid-November through January)

Winter A Session will generally run from football end of season in November through the end of January. Sessions will not be held on days without school

2025 Dates:

  • November 17th through January 30th
  • No Class Dates (Early Release or Non-School Days)
  • November 20 - No School - Digital Learning Day
  • November 27, 28 - Thanksgiving Break
  • December 1 & 2 - No School - Professional Development Day & Conferences
  • December 11 - Digital Learning Day
  • December 22 - January 4 - Winter Break
  • January 15 - Digital Learning Day
  • January 19 - No School - MLK Day
  • January 23 - No School - Grading Day

Session 1 - M/W/F Afternoons

Session 1 includes 3X per week training sessions plus study tables intended for athletes not in winter sport.

Weekly Schedule is as follows

  • M/W: 3:45 - 4:40 - Study Tables
  • M/W: 4:45 - 5:45 - Lifting
  • F: 3:30 - 4:45 - Lifting


Session Cost: $40

Session 2 - T/Th Mornings

Session 2 includes 2x per week training intended for athletes participating in winter sport.

Weekly Schedule is as follows:

  • T/Th - 7:15 - 8:30 - Lifting


Session Cost: $32

2025-26 Winter S&C (Nov-Jan)

Welcome to the 2025-26 Offseason Strength & Conditioning Program.

Session 1 - Afternoons 3X per Week

Mondays/Wednesday/Fridays - intended for athletes not participating in winter sport.  

3x per week - $40

Session 2 - Mornings 2X per Week

Tuesdays/Thursdays - Intended for athletes currently participating in winter sport.  

2x per week - $32
